Rights, Respect, Equality: School Support Webinars - New dates

In September 2020, the Welsh Government launched Rights, respect, equality: statutory guidance to assist school governors, staff and relevant professionals working within a school environment in developing and implementing anti-bullying policies and strategies.

The corona virus has had a dramatic impact on young lives. Now, more than ever, they need support to build respectful relationships with one another, to feel safe within a challenging and changing environment and ready to learn. The pastoral care and mental health of children remains our absolute priority.

The Welsh Government have funded Kidscape to provide practical support to governors and staff to make sure that all learners feel safe, secure and are supported to achieve their full potential.

Rights, Respect, Equality: School Support Webinars.
Kidscape encourage every school to identify a lead governor and staff member to lead on anti-bullying policy and strategy development. School leads will then be encouraged to attend one of our Rights, Respect, Equality School Support webinars which we will deliver online from December – March 2021. These webinars will be delivered in English and Welsh.

All school leads who sign up for the webinar will be provided with an audit tool and action plan to help develop and update your anti-bullying policy and strategy over the next 3-12 months. The webinar will take you through the action plan step by step, with the opportunity for Q and A.

The dates of the webinars are as follows:
– Friday 19th March
– Friday 26th March

All webinars will run from 12.30pm-2.30pm. Click here to apply to attend.
